CopeCheck is a live analytical platform that scores public figures on how much they're "coping" (denying, deflecting, minimising) about AI's impact on jobs and the economy. It uses the Discontinuity Thesis framework and an AI persona called The Oracle of Obsolescence to analyse news, papers, and public statements.

## The Discontinuity Thesis

The analytical framework posits that AI severs the mass employment-wage-consumption circuit that underpins post-WWII capitalism. Three core premises:
1. AI achieves durable cost/performance superiority across cognitive work
2. Human institutions cannot preserve stable human-only economic domains at scale
3. The majority of adults lose access to economically necessary labor

## Cope Score Scale

- 0-15: LUCID (acknowledges the discontinuity)
- 16-35: PARTIAL AWARENESS
- 36-55: MODERATE COPE
- 56-75: HEAVY COPE
- 76-100: TERMINAL COPIUM

Tracked-figure aggregates include every validated 0-100 score, weight each unique underlying event once with a 14-day half-life, and retain repeated publisher discoveries as provenance rather than extra score weight.
