The complete absence of any acknowledgment that mass displacement might create economic or social problems, combined with gleeful enumeration of benefits to employers (no HR complaints, no sick days), represents terminal copium: the logic assumes that if corporations benefit, the outcome is good, regardless of what happens to the displaced workers or the broader economy.
